Students have an interesting position in today's society; we are charged with the pursuit of knowledge with the promise of contributing to a future society that we have yet to build. However, it is our view that students should be active in supporting the causes they believe in even during their educational years. We have the opportunity to engage on campus and in our communities to alter the status quo and
lend a hand to those who need it.
As members of our community, many of us Space Studies students and staff feel that it is important to actively participate in events that support causes we believe in. Therefore, many of us have chosen to attend the Women's March in Bismarck, ND. This event resonates with many of us as women, and as concerned citizens, in this time of transition. We would like to extend a warm welcome to anyone, regardless of gender identity, that would like to join us for this march.
In addition to this, we would like to encourage other students, faculty and staff to be active members in whatever community they call home. Volunteer, connect and support causes that resonate with you and those who need our help. This is the world we are inheriting, there's no better way to make a difference than starting today.
